Young Europe – What is the next generation looking for?

55 youth activists from across Poland met in Warsaw to talk about their future, civic engagement, and the issues that matter most to the younger generation today.

Young Europe was a joint event organized by the Allianz Foundation, New Community Foundation, and Fundacja Ważne Sprawy – at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw on March 6.

The discussion took off from the Allianz Foundation report "Between Nostalgia and New Horizons" — a study mapping young people's visions of the future, political attitudes, and forms of civic engagement across five European countries: France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Poland.

Participants moved on to the Good Conversation Workshop, our flagship educational format which gives a practical toolkit for talking across political divides.

Discussion split into five thematic groups, moderated by Fundacja Ważne Sprawy:

  • GOVERNANCE — What approach to government do young people in Poland expect today?

  • CIVIC ENGAGEMENT — How are young people translating their ideals into civic action?

  • CLIMATE — How is the social significance of the "climate fight" changing?

  • COMMUNITY — Together, but with whom? Between division and the need for closeness

  • SECURITY — Who should be protected, and from what?

At the end, there was a special live edition of #studianasłuch, Poland’s leading political podcast followed by young listeners, featuring analysts from Polityka Insight.
